Team Building on the Water

The LOEB CONSULTING GROUP, LLC Team Building experience brings together a broad range of critical building blocks required for effective teams: effective communication, management skills in unfamiliar environments and challenges to self-awareness and emotional control. Taken together, we believe, these building blocks create a robust framework for transformational leadership.

We use a sophisticated sailing vessel as the platform to challenge the relationships between individual effectiveness, team dynamics and overall group performance. The guided program will highlight the significance of clearly defined team goals, the importance of clear communication amongst team members and the definitions of effective leadership.

The program is guided by experienced corporate facilitators with the support of United States Coast Guard licensed Captains and nationally-certified sailing instructors. Together they assist clients in developing their self-awareness in an environment that helps identify personal strengths and weakness.

Clients are introduced to the basic concepts of sailing, vessel handling and navigation; facilitators relate these concepts to the client's business environment. Group exercises are used to demonstrate the type of skills utilized in situations where team members must work together.
